Final meeting of the BRAVO project
On September 23, 2024, the final webinar of the BRAVO project took place. This webinar focused on the conclusions of the BRAVO project results and how Lithuania and Germany adresss the recognition of foreign vocational training qualifications. During the event, the similarities and differences between these two countries in this field were discussed, along with the needs and challenges related to the possible creation of a European network for the recognition of foreign vocational training qualifications.
Aurelija Valeikienė, Deputy Director of the SKVC, delivered a presentation prepared in collaboration with Giedra Katilauskienė, Head of the Qualifications Assessment Division, and shared insights on the practice and challenges of recognition of foreign vocational qualifications in Lithuania. Aurelija Valeikienė also provided insights on the possible development of the ENIC-NARIC network to create a recognition network, for foreign vocational qualifications Europe. The importance of information exchange, sharing of quality assurance frameworks, good practices and foreign (including vocational qualifications) practices between countries were emphasised. Presentations were also made by representatives of the Norwegian and Swedish ENIC-NARIC offices, who are partners in the BRAVO project.
The BRAVO project, implemented under the Erasmus+ programme, aims to identify key institutions and stakeholders involved in the recognition of vocational qualifications, whether they are already working in this field or plan to do so. . The project's results are being used to map the recognition of vocational training qualifications and to analyse the need for and feasibility of a network for the recognition of vocational qualifications.
