  • If you plan to study at a vocational training institution – it is recommended to apply for recognition through the chosen provider. Lists are available here:

  • If you plan to study at a higher education institution – we recommend applying directly to the institution of your choice. A list is available on the SKVC website.
  • If you need recognition for employment or other purposes – you can apply through the national information system EPE IS.
    We recommend submitting the application from a computer.

Upon receiving your request, we will confirm its receipt and register it.

  • Information about processing times, criteria and more is available at:

  • You can follow your application’s progress by logging into the EPE IS system – SKVC, where the application was submitted.
    There you can:
    • track the review status and deadlines,
    • upload any additional documents or information requested.
  • If any action is needed on your part, you will be informed via email and/or a system message.
  • The list of missing documents can be found in the "Processing progress" section of your application.
    To upload missing documents, click the button under "Attached documents".
  • An academic recognition decision must be submitted when applying via LAMA BPO.
  • You may apply for academic recognition either through EPE IS or directly to the chosen higher education institution (list available on SKVC website).
  • No need to apply for grade conversion – it is done by LAMA BPO.

  1. Submit your application via the LAMA BPO system: https://lamabpo.lt/
  2. Apply for academic recognition – either through EPE IS or directly to a chosen higher education institution.
  3. Apply for grade conversion – via https://lamabpo.lt/ or directly to a higher education institution.
  4. Submit academic recognition decision to LAMA BPO.

 

Duration of assessment: 

  • Duration of assessment is counted from the day all the main documents are submitted;
  • The procedure of assessment is paused from the day when a letter asking for additional documents or information is sent to an applicant. The term is renewed when required documents and information are received;
  •  In case of suspicion that a document attesting to a foreign qualification may be falsified, the recognition procedure is suspended and the period of suspension is not included in the assessment period;
  •  Regular assessment may last up to one month. If the provided information is insufficient the period of assessment may be extended for another three months on a decision of the Director of the CQAHE.

Term of appeal:

A reasoned appeal may be submitted within 10 working days from the date of receipt of this decision, by submitting a reasoned appeal to the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education and addressed to the Appeals Commission for Academic Recognition of Education and Qualifications Acquired under Educational Programs of Foreign States and International Organizations, established by the Minister of Education, Science and Sports, or within one month after the date of receipt of this decision, by lodging an application with the Regional Administrative Court in accordance with the procedure established in the Law on Administrative Procedure of the Republic of Lithuania.
