Call for experts
Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) based in Vilnius, Lithuania is making an open call for international academic members to nominate their candidacies to serve in procedures of external quality assurance (evaluation of study fields – clusters of study programmes). SKVC is member of ENQA and listed on the EQAR as trustworthy quality assurance agency in EHEA.
Experts applying should be currently active and known in their fields as researchers, teachers of the subject, or be Bologna experts, independent higher education consultants, have previous experience of participation in peer reviews in at least two EHEA countries, within the international panels of experts, during the last 10 years, and be fluent in English (level C1 according to CERF or equivalent). The whole evaluation process will be conducted in English.
SKVC is kindly seeking nominations of experts to serve in evaluation procedures in Lithuania for the following study fields, to be evaluated with accreditation purposes in the first half of 2026:
Cosmetology;
Food Technologies;
Safety Engineering;
Human Resource Management.
The following study fields will be evaluated in the second half of 2026:
Law;
Management;
Pedagogy.
Once a candidacy is approved, the expert is included in SKVC’s database. Invitations to evaluations are issued on a case-by-case basis. The SKVC has the right to select suitable candidates, and before each evaluation it contacts the selected experts. The duration of site-visits depend on a particular study field assesment, it usually takes from 2 up to 4 work days depending on the number of higher education institutions to be visited. Experts fees (including travel and subsistence costs) are offered commensurate with the competence profile of experts, having in mind the evaluation task and flat costs associated.
