DIGI-REQA project meeting discussed the links between higher education quality assurance and academic recognition.
On 11 September 2026, an online DIGI-REQA project meeting was held to discuss the activities of the project’s fifth work package. The meeting was attended by Justinas Gaigalas, Adviser at the SKVC Qualifications Assessment Division, who represented SKVC in discussions on the interviews conducted with representatives of higher education institutions.
Agnes Witzani (QA, Austria) gave a presentation summarising the results of the interviews with representatives of higher education institutions, which each participant in this work package was required to conduct in their respective country.
Aleksandra Zhivkovikj (EQAR) presented the links between quality assurance and academic recognition identified in the quality assurance reports available in the DEQAR database.
The DIGI-REQA project is aimed at the practical implementation of the Agreement between the Baltic and Benelux countries on the automatic recognition of higher education qualifications. It seeks to strengthen the practice of automatic qualification recognition in Europe by addressing the main shortcomings identified in automatic recognition, with a focus on practical digital tools and their links to quality assurance. The project aims to respond to the needs of students, employers and higher education institutions – the main users of automatic recognition.
The project is funded under the Erasmus+ KA3 action “Support for Policy Reform”. It is a continuation of the previous DIGI-AR project (2022–2024).
