External quality assurance results of Lithuanian HEIs available at the DEQAR
Maintenance of the old website www.skvc.lt is discontinued. Previously, among other features, it allowed search for study programme accreditation information done by SKVC as external quality assurance agency for higher education. The current website is housed on the platform by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and is accessible here: https://skvc.lrv.lt/en/.
The external quality assurance results and accreditation status of all Lithuanian higher education institutions and study programmes can be accessed via the DEQAR https://www.eqar.eu/qa-results/search/. The DEQAR contains both institutional level and programme level information. It is searchable and contains both positive and negative evaluation reports. This information may be of utmost importance when deciding regarding recognition of qualifications awarded by Lithuanian universities and colleges of higher education.
On the DEQAR, records on Lithuanian HEIs go back till 2011. For older information, one can search the Lithuanian state register on study and learning programmes and institutions via AIKOS system https://www.aikos.smm.lt/en/Pages/Default.aspx. For recognition of qualifications, if the results of external quality assurance are not accessible or clear, relevant public authorities are advised to directly consult with SKVC as Lithuanian ENIC-NARIC office.
The Database of External Quality Assurance Results (DEQAR) is the product by the EQAR (The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education). EQAR is the European Higher Education Area's official register of quality assurance agencies that substantially comply with the ESG (Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area), and thus, are trustworthy.
