Follow-up External Evaluation of the Philology by Language (Foreign Language) Field of Study
On 7-8 September 2026, external evaluation visits of the Philology by Language (Foreign Language) Field of Study will take place at LCC International University and Klaipėda University.
The external evaluation of the field of study will be carried out by an international panel of experts appointed by SKVC. The expert panel will consist of:
- Prof. Dr Marija Omazić (Chair of the Expert Panel), Professor at the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek (Sveučilište Josipa Jurja Strossmayera u Osijeku), Republic of Croatia;
- Prof. Dr Josef Schmied (Representative of the Academic Community), Professor Emeritus at the Department of English, Faculty of Humanities, Chemnitz University of Technology (Technische Universität Chemnitz), Federal Republic of Germany;
- Diana Guogienė (Representative of Social Partners), Head of the translation agency Magistrai, Lithuania;
- Gustė Stakeliūnaitė (Student Representative), first-year student of the second-cycle study programme Business Management at Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania.
During the visits, the expert panel will meet with the universities’ management, administration, authors of the self-evaluation report, students, graduates, social partners, employers, and academic staff. It should be noted that this will be a follow-up external evaluation of the Philology by Language (Foreign Language) Field of Study, focusing on the progress achieved since the previous external evaluation conducted in 2023. Students of the English Language and Literature and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) study programmes at LCC International University, as well as students of the English Philology study programme at Klaipėda University, are invited to participate in meetings with the expert panel at the times specified in the visit schedules.
