Lithuanian practice presented by SKVC at the ENIC-NARIC Networks webinar
On 28 September 2026, SKVC, acting as Lithuania’s ENIC-NARIC centre, contributed to the ENIC-NARIC Networks’ Autumn Webinar Series event “Information Provision: In Between Obligations and Best Practice.”
During the webinar, Agnė Rymkevičiūtė, Chief Officer of the SKVC Qualifications Assessment Division, delivered the presentation, “Information Provision: From the EAR Manual to Practice,” prepared jointly with Giedra Katilauskienė, head of the Qualifications Assessment Division.
Presenting Lithuania’s experience, Agnė Rymkevičiūtė provided an overview of how SKVC applies the recommendations of the European Area of Recognition (EAR) Manual and fulfils the information-related obligations of the Lisbon Recognition Convention by collecting, maintaining and disseminating information on qualifications, higher education systems and recognition practices. The presentation highlighted practical approaches that support transparency, accessibility and consistency in qualification recognition.
The webinar also featured presentations by Jenneke Lokhoff, representing the Bureau of the Lisbon Recognition Convention Committee, and Chris Lyons from Ecctis, the organisation delivering the services of the United Kingdom ENIC on behalf of the UK Department for Education. They discussed the role of national information centres in ensuring access to information on qualifications and their recognition, and shared practical examples of how these activities are organised at the national level.
The event formed part of the ENIC-NARIC Networks’ Autumn Webinar Series, organised by the ENIC Bureau (EB), the NARIC Advisory Board (NAB) and the ELCORE Working Group. The webinar was intended for staff of national information centres and provided an opportunity to exchange practical experience, discuss challenges related to information provision and share examples of good practice.
