SKVC Actively Engages in BRAVO II Project Activities
On 7–8 October 2025, the kick-off meeting of the BRAVO II project, co-financed by the European Union, took place in Brussels. The Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) was represented by Senior Specialists of the Qualifications Assessment Division, Gabrielė Stripeikaitė and Aistė Baužaitė. The meeting brought together project partners from Latvia (AIC), Türkiye (YÖK), France (FEI), Norway (HK-dir), the Netherlands (Nuffic and SBB), and Lithuania (SKVC). This meeting marked an important step in establishing a strong foundation for smooth project implementation, ensuring a shared understanding among participants and effective collaboration throughout the project.
The two-day meeting aimed to exchange insights on project objectives, structure, and implementation plan, as well as to strengthen cooperation among partners. Consortium members and partner organizations presented their activities, and participants familiarized themselves with each institution’s areas of work. The project team developed a common vision, shared expectations regarding anticipated outcomes, and discussed principles for project execution.
BRAVO II is a two-year project continuing the previous BRAVO initiative, with the goal of promoting international cooperation in the recognition of professional qualifications. The project activities include establishing a network of NARIC centers and other institutions working in this field of vocational qualification recognition; developing a digital cooperation platform; preparing a toolkit for the recognition of upper secondary education, vocational education and training, and post-secondary vocational qualifications; and organizing an international conference on vocational qualifications recognition in early 2027.
SKVC is actively involved in both administrative and practical aspects of the project – including the development of the information-sharing platform, contributing to the preparation of the toolkit, and participating in activities aimed at presenting project results and benefits to the public. These efforts are expected to make the recognition process more efficient, significantly contributing to improved professional mobility.
