SKVC and the Lithuanian National Union of Students discuss the prospects for developing a national student survey and a monitoring system

On 14 April 2026, the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) met with the Lithuanian National Union of Students (LSS) to discuss plans for a national student survey and SKVC’s indicator monitoring system, which will be applied in the new cycle of institutional quality assurance.

LSS representatives inquired about practicalities of the national student survey content and application in the context of quality assurance. During the meeting, the partners discussed examples of good practices from various countries. SKVC presented its initial concept for the indicator monitoring system, which is planned to support risk management and selective evaluations of study programmes in the new quality assurance cycle.

SKVC closely collaborates with LSS on the development of the new quality assurance framework and quality assurance tools. In 2025, LSS took part in several consultations on the framework. It was also presented by SKVC in more detail at the annual LSS Assembly.

Participants included LSS President Ieva Vengrovskaja, Vice-President for Representation Gabija Juzėnaitė, and Head of Social and Academic Affairs Smiltė Kiaunytė. SKVC was represented by Director Zinaida Manžuch; Kristina Sutkutė, Head of the Institutional Review Unit; Aušra Leskauskaitė, Head of the Study Evaluation Unit; and Agnė Bružaitė, Adviser at the Study Evaluation Unit.
