SKVC and the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA) Discussed Current Issues in Higher Education Quality Assurance
Last week, Aurelija Valeikienė, Deputy Director and Acting Director of SKVC, and Kristina Sutkutė, Head of the Institutional Review Division, met with Dr Jakub Brdulak, Secretary of the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA). The meeting focused on current challenges and trends in higher education quality assurance, as well as opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions.
Particular attention was paid to the role of both quality assurance agencies within the current higher education systems in Lithuania and Poland. Discussions addressed how quality assurance agencies can balance their evaluation function with a role that supports and promotes the development of higher education institutions.
The open dialogue provided an opportunity not only to exchange experiences and discuss current quality assurance issues, but also to gain a better understanding of the institutional contexts in which both organisations operate. The shared interests identified may serve as a foundation for closer cooperation in the future.
