SKVC Presented EPE IS Integrations at the Annual ENIC-NARIC Networks Meeting and Participated in Final Session of Credential Evaluator Course
On 24–26 May 2026, representatives of the Qualifications Assessment Division of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) participated in the joint ENIC-NARIC Networks annual meeting, which was held in Athens, Greece.
The sessions and workshops addressed both existing and planned system integrations supporting the digitalization of academic recognition processes, current developments in artificial intelligence, and challenges related to the automatic recognition of qualifications. Initiatives of the Council of Europe and UNESCO concerning the European Higher Education Area, as well as other topics related to academic recognition, were also presented.
Justinas Gaigalas, Adviser at the Qualifications Assessment Division, delivered a presentation on the integrations of the EPE IS with national and European systems. During the workshop, participants discussed opportunities for ENIC-NARIC recognition centres to integrate their nationally operating systems into a common European database containing officially issued academic recognition statements and decisions.

Following the meeting, on 27 May, Aistė Baužaitė and Gintarė Karaliūtė, Chief Officers at the Qualifications Assessment Division, participated in the concluding training session for new credential evaluators organized by the Dutch ENIC-NARIC centre, Nuffic. The SKVC representatives presented group assignments and exchanged good practices and professional experience with colleagues from other countries. Although these training courses have been organized since 2004, participation has steadily increased, reaching 157 participants from 22 countries this year.
The NARIC Online Course was organized within the framework of the ONREQ25-27 project, in which Kristina Sutkutė, Head of the Institutional Review Division at SKVC, is also contributing to the project. She participated in the in-person part of the course as one of the trainers.
