SKVC to Host Online Launch Event for AR-GO Automatic Recognition Tool on 18 June

18 June is special day for Baltic and Benelux higher education qualification holders as it marks the launch of AR-GO (Automatic Recognition To GO) portal AR-GO.ONLINE. It contains a newly developed online tool designed to support the implementation of a groundbreaking agreement on the automatic recognition of higher education qualifications among the Baltic and Benelux countries. Developed as part of the DIGI-AR project, AR-GO aids recognition procedures by offering reliable and consistent information in a user-friendly digital format.

The automatic recognition treaty—signed in 2021 by Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania—marks a significant step forward in European academic mobility. As the first agreement of its kind in the region, it simplifies the cross-border recognition process for qualifications earned in any of the six participating countries. The Treaty is also open to other members of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) wishing to join.

AR-GO acts as a central access point, delivering clear, standardized information on national qualifications, their status and rights, and comparability across systems. It also links to relevant national sources, helping users—whether graduates, employers, or academic institutions—generate tailored qualification comparability statements. The platform is a key tool for ensuring the effective, transparent, and consistent application of automatic recognition under the agreement.
