The NARIC Online Course for credential evaluators was developed by the Dutch NARIC in 2004 and has been provided annually ever since. The Dutch NARIC will be responsible for this project, which will include contributions from the Polish NARIC and the Lithuanian NARIC. Activities will be divided into 2 stages. In 2022 the research and revision stage will take place from September to December and the actual delivery of the online course will be from Jan to June, culminating in a Face-to-Face Day in June. In 2023 the same stages will be repeated from January to June, with the Face-to-Face Day being held following the annual ENIC-NARIC meeting. Target groups: The course is primarily intended for staff of NARIC offices with limited experience in credential evaluation and the recognition of qualifications, but the module on microcredentials and the module on the transnational education and joint degrees, which are new in 2022, may also be of interest to professionals in the field with more experience. Impact: The online course aims to improve the recognition of diplomas and study periods by providing participants with background knowledge on best practice in the field, based on the Lisbon Recognition Convention and the Bologna Process. Participants are given ample opportunity to apply and discuss recognition methodology on actual cases. Feedback from the course moderator helps ensure correct application of evaluation methodology. Participants work in groups as well as individually, and a forum encourages transnational networking and information exchange.
